Scout Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 14, 2026

Information Scout processes

When you connect QuickBooks Online, Scout may receive business account information and financial records covered by the permissions you approve through Intuit, such as account, transaction, customer, or vendor details. Scout also processes information needed to maintain the connection and protect the service.

How information is used

Scout uses connected information to provide the business summaries, reports, and answers you request, and to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service. Summit Line does not sell QuickBooks data or use it for unrelated advertising.

Service providers and AI features

Scout may rely on hosting and other service providers to operate. When you request AI-generated analysis, relevant information may be processed by the AI service configured for Scout to produce that response. The provider's handling and retention terms may apply.

Sharing and security

Information may be shared with service providers as needed to operate Scout, or when required by law. Summit Line uses safeguards intended to protect information; no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Retention and disconnecting

Scout retains information as needed to provide its features, maintain security, and meet legal obligations. Revoking Scout's access in your Intuit account stops future access, but information already stored by Scout may require a separate deletion request.

Your choices and contact

You can revoke QuickBooks access through your Intuit account. For privacy questions or deletion requests, use the Summit Line contact page.
